When the first part of the episode “Stress Relief” originally aired on February 1, 2009 directly after Super Bowl XLIII, it was the most widely watched episode to date with 22.9 million viewers.

John Krasinski and B.J. Novak attended the same high school in Massachusetts and both graduated in 1997.

Small clips throughout the opening theme were actually shot by John Krasinski after he was offered the part of Jim Halpert.

Pam even responds, “I thought that maybe you did, when I first started”.  However in Season 4’s “Launch Party”, Jim recalls his first day when Pam told him, “Enjoy this moment because you’re never going to go back to this time before you met your desk mate Dwight”.

In Season 4’s “Job Fair”, Michael says that he doesn’t even know what H&R Block does. However, Michael later states that he’ll have to talk to his guy at H&R Block in Season 6’s “The Promotion.”

In the episode “Hot Girl” from Season 1, there is a picture of Toby’s brown-haired, brown-eyed daughter next to his desk. However, in Season 2’s “Take Your Daughter to Work Day”, Toby’s daughter is now blonde-haired and blue-eyed. The pictures around his desk also change later in the series.
